The commitment to sustainability and innovation at Capsa Packaging has been recognized once again at the 4th edition of the VPC Green Beauty Awards. This event, organized by Ventas de Perfumería y Cosmética, rewards the most sustainable and socially responsible companies, brands, initiatives, and products in the Spanish cosmetics sector. Capsa has won Gold in the Best Sustainable Packaging from a Packaging Company category thanks to our Capsa 2in1® cardboard box.
A Recognition of Excellence in Sustainability
The award ceremony took place on July 9 in Barcelona, at the eco-friendly Seventy Hotel, with actor Gerard Clavell as presenter. Marc Florensa, manager of Podium Global Media and president of the jury, highlighted the effort and dedication of all participating companies, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in the cosmetics industry.
Thanks to the Life Cycle Study conducted by the Packaging Cluster, in collaboration with AEI Tèxtils, the Catalan Waste Agency, and Leitat Technologies, it has been demonstrated that by reusing the Capsa 2in1® box six times, it is possible to reduce the carbon footprint by 80%, water consumption by 84%, and the use of fossil resources by 82%, considering a distance of 50 km with 3.5T trucks.
Furthermore, even over greater distances, such as 100 km or 500 km, the environmental benefits remain significant, with carbon footprint reductions of 78% and 60%, respectively.
