Capsa Packaging has been awarded a WorldStar Award 2026<\/strong>, the most prestigious international recognition in the packaging sector, granted by the World Packaging Organization (WPO). The award recognises e-PROTECT CITRI<\/strong>, a packaging solution developed for the Citring juicer, winner of the iF Design Award 2024<\/strong>, and reinforces Capsa\u2019s positioning as a specialist in the design of innovative, functional and sustainable corrugated cardboard packaging<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

An international recognition of packaging excellence<\/span><\/h2>\n

Since 1970, the WorldStar Awards have recognised the best packaging solutions worldwide, highlighting projects that stand out for their innovation, design, technology and sustainability. In the 2026 edition, the international jury once again rewarded solutions capable of responding to real market and logistics challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within this context, the award granted to Capsa Packaging highlights a solution that combines advanced product protection<\/strong>, operational efficiency<\/strong> and eco-design<\/strong>, proving that cardboard can deliver high technical performance without the need for plastic materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Liderpack Award to WorldStar Award<\/span><\/h2>\n

The e-PROTECT CITRI<\/strong> project was previously recognised with the Liderpack Award 2025 for Best Household Product Packaging<\/strong>, a key milestone that enabled its nomination for the international WorldStar competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

This journey confirms the robustness of the design and the consistency of the project, from national recognition to international acclaim.<\/span><\/p>\n

A project born from Capsa\u2019s packaging design consultancy<\/span><\/h2>\n

e-PROTECT CITRI originated from Capsa\u2019s packaging design consultancy service<\/strong><\/a>,<\/span> focused on developing customised boxes<\/strong> precisely tailored to the technical, logistical and sustainability requirements of each client.<\/span><\/p>\n

This approach allows each product, sales channel and logistics flow to be analysed in depth in order to design a tailored packaging solution that optimises processes and enhances both the in-store and delivery experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

A mono-material solution that replaces EPS<\/span><\/h2>\n

The solution consists of a 100% mono-material corrugated cardboard packaging<\/strong>, made up of the patented Capsa 2in1\u00ae e-Plus outer box<\/strong> and two custom-designed internal structures that protect the product.<\/span><\/p>\n

These components completely replace expanded polystyrene (EPS)<\/strong> elements commonly used in household appliance packaging, ensuring impact absorption through their air chambers while keeping the packaging entirely cardboard-based, improving recyclability and reducing environmental impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

2in1\u00ae double closure: one box, two uses<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Capsa 2in1\u00ae e-Plus outer box<\/strong>, with an automatic bottom, features the patented 2in1\u00ae double-closure system<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, allowing two different closing options simply by alternating the flaps.<\/span><\/p>\n
